Attendees of the IASLC 2025 World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC) are invited to join their colleagues for a special evening commemorating the IASLC Foundation and celebrating the significant progress that has been made in thoracic oncology research in recent years.
The 2025 IASLC Foundation Appreciation Reception will take place from 18:00 to 19:30 Central European Summer Time (CEST) on Monday, September 8, at Restaurante Mirabé in Barcelona.
The IASLC Foundation, established in 2014, serves as a philanthropic arm of the IASLC. Since then, the two organizations have worked in tandem to contribute more than $15 million to lung cancer research.
This funding has been instrumental in advancing the IASLC’s philanthropic mission by supporting patient advocacy programs, global research initiatives, and career development for thoracic oncology investigators.
This year’s reception will recognize the IASLC Foundation’s generous supporters for their contributions and celebrate the IASLC Foundation Advisory Board. Their support of the IASLC’s mission has made a lasting impact on grant recipients and patients worldwide.
Following the reception, the festivities will continue at the IASLC Celebration Night, where the thoracic oncology community will celebrate the ripple effect of these successful philanthropic efforts, which have driven progress in lung cancer research and brought hope to those affected by the disease.
The IASLC Celebration Night will take place from 19:30 to 23:00 CEST at Barcelona’s iconic Tibidabo Amusement Park.
