With thousands of delegates attending the 2026 World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC) in Seoul, connecting with colleagues who work in related fields or have shared research interests can be challenging.
This year, WCLC is introducing a new initiative to its networking portfolio: dedicated Lunch Meetups for specific disciplines.
WCLC Lunch Meetups offer an informal opportunity to meet with colleagues in similar fields, exchange ideas, and foster collaborations in a relaxed setting.
“We recognize that fields such as nursing and allied health, radiology, radiation oncology, and translational/basic science are sometimes smaller in number at WCLC and may not always receive as much visibility or networking opportunities as larger groups,” said Karen Kelly, MD, IASLC CEO.
These Lunch Meetups will take place on Sunday, September 13. Head to your interest group’s designated meeting location in the Exhibit Hall to enjoy lunch with a side of collaboration.
“To strengthen our commitment to these disciplines, we are implementing structured lunch meetups to enable members from these fields to more easily meet with colleagues from around the world,” Dr. Kelly said. “These gatherings aim to spark new collaborations and conversations, with the hope that those connections extend beyond the conference.”
Lunch Meetups will take place on Sunday, September 13, from 13:45 to 14:45 KST in the Exhibits and Posters, Hall C, 3F.
