Excitement is building among organizers of the 2022 World Conference on Lung Cancer, which will have in-person education and networking for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began. To minimize risks to the health and safety of those who attend WCLC 2022 in person, the following measures will be in place and enforced onsite. These mitigations will apply to all staff, delegates, exhibitors, sponsors, and guests.

Visit wclc2022.iaslc.org to view the complete WCLC 2022 program and register today! With in-person and virtual elements, #WCLC22 has options for everyone in thoracic oncology, regardless of their location.
Vaccination: All in-person attendees of WCLC 2022 must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by the meeting. All registered attendees will be asked to present proof of full vaccination and photo identification with a matching name before entering the conference venue. WCLC defines fully vaccinated as completing the first two doses of an approved vaccine per the guidelines of an attendee’s country of residence. Proof of a negative COVID-19 test will not be accepted as a substitute for vaccination. Accepted forms of documentation include:
- Copy of an official certificate from your country, state, or province
- Photo of the official certificate
- Digital PDF or document of the official certificate on a mobile device
If you cannot or choose not to comply with the WCLC health and safety protocols, or if you are unable to come to Vienna, you can attend virtually for live-streamed sessions, question-and-answer forums, and other interactive features. Learn more about the virtual program here.
If you will not be fully vaccinated by WCLC 2022 and have registered for the in-person meeting, you may change your registration to virtual only by sending a request to the WCLC 2022 Conference Secretariat by email.
Masks: Per current guidelines, masks will be required to be worn at all times in all WCLC 2022 session rooms and at networking events. Masks may only be removed when eating, drinking, taking medication or presenting. The mask mandate will be strictly enforced by security. Masks will be available at the Registration Desk, located in Foyer D of the Messe Convention Centre & Exhibition Center for the convenience of attendees.
Illness protocol: When registering, WCLC attendees agree to not attend if they have any COVID-19 symptoms. We strongly recommend all participants administer self-tests at least 24 hours before arriving at the venue. An onsite testing facility will be available free of charge for all attendees. If an attendee develops any COVID-19 symptoms during the conference, they will immediately:
- Self-isolate.
- Comply with all local and national government restrictions.
- Inform the WCLC 2022 Conference Secretariat by email.
