ILCN Editorial Board member Shirish M. Gadgeel, MBBS, FASCO, has been appointed to the thoracic oncology team at the Winship Cancer Institute at Emory Midtown and Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital. He will also serve as Professor and Vice Chair for Clinical Research in the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine.
Dr. Gadgeel most recently served as the Division Head of Hematology and Oncology and Associate Director of Patient Experience and Clinical Care at the Henry Ford Cancer Institute and the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. His professional journey began as a Professor at Wayne State University and as the co-leader of the Karmanos Cancer Institute’s Molecular Therapeutics Research Program.
