Jean-Charles Soria, MD, PhD, joined Amgen in early August 2021 as senior vice president of the oncology therapeutic sector. Prof. Soria, previously served as senior vice president of Research & Development in Oncology at AstraZeneca, where he was responsible for strategy and development of new immuno-oncology, cell therapy, and conjugated antibody agents. Most recently Dr. Soria was the director of Gustav Roussy Institute.
During his career, Prof. Soria has been an elected member of the Oncology Section of the National University Council for 3 years and was the Director of the Gustave-Roussy SIRIC Socrate (Integrated Cancer Research Site) over 5 years (2012-2017). He also has been named among the most influential research scientists in the world and has been the recipient of numerous awards. He is the author of more than 630 journal articles.
