Saturday, the IASLC presented five cancer care teams with the association’s most prestigious award: The IASLC Cancer Care Team Award (CCTA). The honors were presented during the IASLC Award Ceremony at the 2024 World Conference on Lung Cancer.
The CCTAs recognize a multidisciplinary care team from an institution in each of five major regions from around the world—North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia/Rest of World—that provides exceptional care for patients with lung cancer and thoracic malignancies. Teams are nominated by patients, survivors, caregivers, partners, and family members. A nomination can include multiple individuals from the care team (e.g., oncologist, surgeon, nurse, palliative care provider, etc.).
